Spring Snowstorm

Matt has been feeling sick all week and last night it got the best of him. He went to bed and was hoping to go to work but just couldn't make it. We woke up to a blizzard this morning. Good thing Matt didn't go to work cause 2 trucks ended up in a ditch and many of the roads that he travels had closures on them. Matt said a few weeks ago he thought we were done with snow and I said don't get your hopes up remember our first year here. It snowed 8 inches on May 1st. So here it is May 2nd and so far they are saying we got 4 inches of snow. It is not sticking to the ground though; it is blowing all over. The funny thing is 2 days ago it was a perfect spring day. In the 80's and just beautiful Now here it is 32 with blowing snow and cold. Welcome to Nebraska! We were talking to a guy in town and he said with the windchill it was -4 degrees. COLD!!! We went to the salebarn today to look for some steer calves and we could only see about 20 feet in front of us.

Crazy Austyn eating icecream in this blizzard weather.
Bubba took this picture of the Lighthouse sticker.
The muddy roads on the way home from town.
The boys are worried about their final soccer game being cancelled tomorrow evening but they are calling for a sunny and brezzy day in the 50's so hopefully this will all dry out and they can play on the field. We are off to get cozy under a warm blanket as we watch a movie!
